They made 12,798 of them. I would say not so rare. I do see them a lot at car shows. Options would determine the rarity for me.

That's my favorite GTO of all time, the '66 convertible.

Nothing better than that front grill treatment as well as the rear tail light panel, with a 389 Tri Power 4 speed, blue with a parchment interior and top.

My favorite year GTO as well, coolest tail lights ever. Did this one up for my older brother back in the late 80's... triple black, tri-power, four speed...
