I have seen both of these on 70 Chevelles,
One with park and one without but what is correct?
Was there a plant or date difference?

PARK was intended for M/T equipped, and the blank pad was intended for A/T equipped originally.

Adding to mr70's comment, I have seen the "Park" version on many restored cars but I just went through my 13,000 photo data base and EVERY non restored original 70 Chevelle I came by in my files had the blank pedal on them regardless of transmission. NONE had the "Park" pedal. Most of these cars were dated post December of 69 so take that into account.

Re: What is correct Emergency brake pad on 70 Chevelle

My car is a 4 speed car built in April of 1970 and it has the blank pad.

Reason why i asked this question is i have 5 "Park" varations in stock and only one blank varation from Frank's stock here at home and i was tempted to put one of the "Park" ones on my car but just want to be sure before i switch them.

I think i will just keep one "Park" pad just in case i need to change my mind.
Anyone out there that has a survivor 70 four speed Chevelle car built after February 1970 to let me know what they have on there?

Never seen PARK on any Original A body either, I thought PARK was help section.

Thanks guys for all the info.
I will leave the pad on my car as it is the same as Donnie shows above.
I was wondering why there were so many "Park" ones compared to just one correct one in my stock. See photos below as i also just found a story from a book on Google after i searched the NOS part #. I also made a mistake on the very first post were the photo was taken from ebay for the regular brake pad which is incorrect.
