Re: 1972 Monte Carlo
Where are you located in Florida? I have a friend there for the rest of his "snowbird" trip. If he is within a reasonable distance, I can have him take a look.

</div></div> The car is in Debary, FL (32713) I stuck it back on "the bay" today. Reserve is $8K, it's a give away price. I've found two trucks I am really interested in, but don't want to buy anything until I've sold at least one vehicle. FYI - I have this car insured through Grundy for $12,000 - it costs me $124 a year to insure. |

I love the red with no top and buckets too!!</div></div> Thanks for the kind words Dave. It is a great driving car, I hate to get rid of it, but can't keep them all. I've had so many people contact me and tell me, "If only it was a Chevelle..." ::roll eyes:: If it was a Chevelle, the price would be considerably higher. Damn shame, these Montes are great cars, they just don't command the same kind of price the Chevelles and Malibus of the same vintage do. |

I love my 70 Monte (I have a 70 Monte 402, one of the 600 4 speeds). They are priced right for what you get. Little fact, on the 70's and 71's (not sure about the 72) if you look at the helmet of the soldier emblem in the grill, there are roman numerals that spell out the year of the Monte! MCMLXXI = 1971 http://www.cartype.com/pics/5851/ful..._detail_71.jpg RichPern |

Re: 1972 Monte Carlo
Well, almost two weeks since it "sold." And no payment yet. Haven't heard from the buyer in almost 5 days. Hope I am wrong, but I think the sale went to sh!t. As of next Monday, the 25th - the car is available again. Bottom dollar, $8000 cash - drive it home.
