Canadian built Impala 1967

My old friend Hans has bought yet another 1967 Impala. Itīs the third blue one he has brought over here. Itīs just a 283 car so itīs not a rocket. But who needs a rocket to go cruising !
This one is a late built car (7C) that was built at the St. Therese plant I think. Lots of Chevrolets sold new in Sweden back then came from Canada, but I was not aware of that the Canadian plants exported to the USA. Was this common ?
Please decode the Protect-O-Plate if you like. And by the way, has anyone any knowledge about Pierce Chevrolet, Pawtucket, R.I.

Thanks for the kind words guys, and thanks for the decoding ! Hans is so satisfied with his new car.

Any clues to what the E and GG in the upper left means ? And the #3 in the middle and the X on the right ?

Re: Canadian built Impala 1967

Can anyone figure out why a car destined for Rhodes, Greece ended up being sold new in Somerset, Mass ?
I know dealer trades were common but wouldnīt this one take the price ?

Re: Canadian built Impala 1967

I think the note about produced for sale in Greece either is an error or the order got changed at the plant. As far as I know all St Therese cars were sold in the United States. It was the Oshawa built cars and bodies that got exported.

There is no Greece connection that I see. It was shipped to a US dealer and sold in the US. You might want to have him check for a St Therese Chassis Broadcast. They are usually found under the back seat (or front bench seat) or above the hood insulation. The broadcast sheet would show the dealer code of where the car was to be shipped to.

Can you show a scan of the page opposite the plate in the protection plan?

Warren

Thanks for the information Warren, about the St Therese and Oshawa-built cars.
Hans has the paperwork at his house and he lives 31 miles from my home, so Iīll scan the page when I can. My home-computer is down so Iīll have to wait until itīs fixed anyway.
