question
Hi guys,
New here but have read the forum from time to time. I am wondering if anyone would have any info. My boss's friend is interested in a 74 Pontiac Super Duty 455 Trans am. vin#129743 Anyone know about this car? Also would anyone know of where to source a period correct Feb 74 or earlier sd455 engine? Thanks a lot for any help and info. Tom |
Re: question
Tell us about the car since its not in the registry??? Pictures would be helpful too.
Does the car need everything motor wise from a SR block and up ? What about the rest of the drive train also post the phs if available. |
Re: question
It's a red car over black interior. It is in otherwise terrific original condition. Just the engine is missing, hence why he would like to somehow find that original engine or at least source a period correct one. We believe it is listed in the sd455 registry and was purchased new from Andy Klein Pontiac

Re: question
Does it have a X in the vin to confirm it's a SD ?
|
Re: question
I do not have the car here at the shop but I will confirm if there is an x in the vin. It also has the th400 auto transmission still. 3:42 gears.

Re: question
I have nothing really to add, but always interested in a good stroy. Do you know why the car is missing the engine and how it has hung around mostly complete without it? Does it have an engine at all?

Re: question
An owner took out the engine for some reason is the story. Car sat forgotten at some dealer for years..

Re: question
Did your friend buy the car? If so is he looking for an engine?

Re: question
