Re: 1,000 cars at Mecum in St Charles
I had a good time running the LS6 Chevelle through the auction. Overall it was a very well run event. It is unfortunate some of the "experts" labeled my LS6 as not being original paint. It has 100% original cranberry red paint. A potential buyer was told it was repainted. I guess some of the "experts" need a bit of educating! I should be flattered that the paint appears to be too nice for original! Ha!

115K hi bid is nothing to sneeze at. Your car looked very clean - a real gem. Good luck in the future.

I looked that Chevelle over very well and IMO found no signs of any repainting at all on the body. Simply amazing. What a cool car! Thanks for bringing your cars to Mecum. |

Mark, Your LS6 is one of the BEST in the country....there will always be those skeptics and uneducated buyers out there. I hope you can joy us in my 1970 Chevelle Display at the 2011 MCACN`s. Perhaps you may find the CORRECT Buyer there? Dan |
