Re: Yenko vega trans?
I have some paperwork from an "expert" that says that the yenko vega had a m-20. It also says on the dealer invoice that the car recieved a 4 speed transmission, option # 2HM20AA1. $51.00 option.

Re: Yenko vega trans?
I believe all 4 speeds were designated as M-20 on certain option sheets....again, going by memory..Ill butt out now and let the real experts reply ... haha

Re: Yenko vega trans?
I thinnk you will find that M20 simply meant that the transmission was wide ratio unit but it could have been Saginaw or Muncie depending on application.

Re: Yenko vega trans?
Tha 4 speed equipped Vegas used Saginaw transmissions . The clutches were cable operated . The bellhousings had a boss on the drivers side for the cable to seat in. The clutch fork pivoted on an adjustable ball stud , used for the clutch adjustment, located on the passenger side of the bell.

Re: Yenko vega trans?
Tanks, That helps clear this up. I coudn't imagine that Chevrolet put an M-20- Muncie in the Yenko Vega.

Re: Yenko vega trans?
looking at the Yenko Vega option list...
Yenko listed a 5 speed trans for the Vega but it says "comming soon". Don't know if they ever had any of the 5 speeds as the Vega stuff didn't seem to do very well. |
