Canadian Documentation Question

Enlighten me guys...

On current/modern Canadian GM Documentation, would X33 and D80 options be listed on the breakdown of options?

I recently looked at a fairly original '69 Z28 with GM Canada Paper and neither X33 nor D80 were listed on the breakdown. I have not seen a tag photo yet.

Thanks,
Dan

Re: Canadian Documentation Question

X33 is not an option

D80 is

X33 is not necessarily combined with D80

any X** Norwood body tag code will not be on any option list, it was an internal plant ID

Re: Canadian Documentation Question

The report should have the following for an X33 car.

Z28 Special performance package
Z21 Style Trim

It could have Z22 instead of Z21 if it is an Z/28 RS

Thanks for the info gents. I was not insinuating the two (X33 and D80) were akin.

Re: Canadian Documentation Question

It is very possible for a 69 Z28 NOT to show the D80 code as spoilers were NOT standard for the 1st half of the model production year.

Believe it or not, neither was the ZL2 cowl induction hood, although today you will be hard pressed to find ANY 69 Camaro without that hood ...

As in the GM Canada paper for later cars when it was included wouldn't show it but earlier cars where it was specifically ordered would?.

Re: Canadian Documentation Question

no ... the earlier cars had RPO D80 spoiler pacakge OPTIONAL, so you could have an X33 (or X77) without spoilers.

I have no idea what Canadian GM paper says, but I assume if it was an ordered or built option, it would be on the list, if it was not ordered or built on a particular car then the D80 RPO would not appear ...
