RWL tires

Were RWL tires available for a 1969 SS nova? If so, what brand and size? I would have to assume E70's? Thanks!

I'm certainly no expert on Novas Sam, but from what I have read I believe the White or Red stripes were the available tires. Hopefully a guru can confirm this for you.

I had Uniroyal Red lines on my 69 when new. Just wondering if RWL's were available. Probably not I guess. Thanks for the response.

I have the '69 Passenger Car Price Guide. No RWL tires listed for Nova.

No. You have to run white stripes like Marlin.

Re: RWL tires

The 69 Nova SS came standard with the E-70 x 14 with red stripes. Whitelines were an option...no raised white letters until the early 70's. I would imagine most OEM tires were Uniroyal Tiger Paws or Firestone Wide Ovals at the time, perhaps other brands as well...hope that helps.

Re: RWL tires

I had Uniroyal red lines on my original 69 nova when new. My nova that I own now has the Goodyear Speedway red line tires. I wish they made an E70/14 Goodyear Speedway RL in repo but I don't think they do.
