what ever happened to the rebody 69 green Z at BJ
Was that car ever scrapped or assigned a new VIN? I would guess BJ would have wanted that to be kept quiet and odds are I bet nobody knows. If someone does, it would be nice to know.

Funny how money can make things go away quietly

Kept quiet?
There were several re-bodied cars at B-J 2009, one being a ZL-1 Camaro. All were stated to be re-bodies on their display info. Apparently it is not the problem everyone thinks it is. |
Re: what ever happened to the rebody 69 green Z at BJ
yeah, but the ralley green z was not touted as a rebody like the ZL-1. It was found out after purchase.

Wasn't it that really rich guy Ron Pratt that bought it?

Re: what ever happened to the rebody 69 green Z at
yep, thats the guy, never heard anything else.

Re: what ever happened to the rebody 69 green Z at
there was a HUGE discussion about this over at Team Camaro, re-reading that will be interesting, as even the Speed TV commentator got involved with it
I even had the blonde Georgia boy that "restored" the car call me at home telling me not to post pictures from HIS website, AND I gave his site credit ... weird crowd |
Re: what ever happened to the rebody 69 green Z at
Doubt there will be much further discussion about it. It was also "certified" IIRC...

What was the consensus on this ZL-1 from 2009 BJ?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiLf56NlDPc I was the one that posted this video on YouTube, and almost 2 years later, I've noticed the comments on the video run from "it's a fake", to "it's real", to "they had shill bidders"... |
Re: what ever happened to the rebody 69 green Z at
Two wealthy men from Iowa partnered as the B-J buyers. I spoke with both of them after they bought it. One of the partners, I believe Mike Murphy now ownes the car outright.
My above info is not current. This is the #27 ZL-1 69 Camaro. This is the car that has been written about in length at several web sites. This is the car that I've claimed to have been cloned as I parted it out in approx 1978. |
