Some photos from car shows from the past week

I went to the Greenwich Concours d'Elegance and the Ford show at Carlisle. Still adding more Ford articles from the show (have done 4 already) but there's enough to amuse yourself for the time being.

. . . and be sure to subscribe to the notices so you can be alerted every time I post something new on my blog!

I was there with my brother and with the exception of a single hand's worth of cars, I was truly unimpressed with the showing.

What's with the overexposure? You own the '70 ragtop?

I guess I'd have to ask what was unimpressive about it to you?

I think it was not as good as past shows, although the weather held out quite nicely. For the musclecar class, I felt there were too many Chevys and Mustangs.

Re: Some photos from car shows from the past week

Over-exposure is a photography term. It plainly means the photo is too bright. The Chevelle is not mine, I was apologizing for the poor photo quality.

What happened to diversity and quality? The Corvettes, with the exception of two were absolutely average. This is supposed to be one of the top 5 Concours shows in the country! There was a Tri-Five with a 1/4 panel packed with plastic. The race car section had a new ZR1 and GT in it, parked next to an '82 Collector's Edition Vette... (very odd). I just thought for the name and apparent prestige of the award, the caliber of cars would have matched past year's shows and this is all coming from a past winner. In '09 I took Best Sports Car post 1966 with my Vette.
