ZL1 OILING PROBLEM
 
HI there is a post that talked about oiling probems on the ZL1 can some find this post for me THANKS

The L-88 and ZL-1 engines had a fantastic lubrication system that to this day is one of the best ever designed and there is actually very little that can done to improve it. Stick with the GM factory matched parts with some Mobil One synthetic oil and that's about as good as it gets. If there's any problem, it's usually because someone didn't follow the GM Power Parts specifications and thought they could improve something that can't be improved upon!

It dealt with making sure you have the intake valley plugs in place. There are 3 1/8" pipe plugs that must be installed there. Also the oil filter check valve must be in place as well.

This was a thread Albert posted about the oil pres issues. Turned out to be a simple fix, with plugging lifter valley holes, as stated above.
