Brake booster D-M stamp
 

Today, I was told that the Delco-Moraine stamp wasn't stamped on boosters until 69. Anyone know the facts. I have the repro booster in my 68 Chevelle, with the stamp. Is that wrong?

Well Bill, sounds like you are gonna have to take that car all the way apart and start over! (if I know you like I think I do)

Bill,

Once you find the correct booster and have it restored......this will only take you a weekend at best.
I`m looking forward to seeing you and your car with the correct booster at CB2010!

Thanks guys. Not sure it will happen before Nashville, but I'll get to it.....and as far as what Wheelhop said, you may be right. The engine in the 68 is looking a little dingy, compared to it's stable mate, the freshly painted El Camino engine. Do I pull the motor out, just to paint it....thats certainly a possibility. It wouldn't be the 1st time, thats for sure.

Bill, are you bringing the 68 to the Northern Ohio Chevelle Show this summer???

Not sure yet Rich. I'm taking the 68 to the AACA Grand National show in N.C. as well as Nashville, and a couple other out of state shows, so Ohio may be on the cutting block, but that could change. Are you, Grady, and Phil gonna try to get there?

Yes, we are definately doing the show.. I am actually off work that weekend for a change!! Gonna take my 69 DY ragtop.. Hopefully the weather will be better than last year...
