Maybe during the ARCA races they don't have the security personnel that they have during the Daytona 500. I was walking right along the fence in 88 when Petty took the big spin, there were loads of people there but the security just kept people moving, wouldn't let you hang out and watch the race.

Few years ago I was at the local track in Pensacola. At first I was sitting right down by the guardrail, cars were just feet away going 90mph+ Didn't take long to realize it wouldn't take much to have one end up in my lap, moved up the stands. At Daytona you can feel the wind from the pack when they go by when you are sitting halfway up the stands.
