A Restored 1930's Auto Shop

Hi everyone. Since It's nasty weather most everywhere right now, spend some time with your computer and take a look at the following link. I think you'll find it rather interesting and somewhat different. It's 23 pages long right now and I'm adding to it almost daily.

Hope you enjoy it.

Great shop, I really like the clean look the white gives off, and I love the vintage lift!

Well, I never was in the building before the renovation but I was privileged to visit last year and can sum it up in four words; "Thomas, I hate you!"

It's a fantastic place and Mr. Payne has kept the spirit and soul of the building alive. I could live in that place and be very happy.

Great job Tom! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif Hope to see you in a few weeks.

Kudos to you, your son and your friend! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif

You did a GREAT job with that shop and I love how you integrated some of the old signs and things into the new shop. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Very Nice Thomas. Your pictures are great. I have people in Champaign, IL. That is a nice area you live in. The ex wifes Grandfather is a retired professor from the University and was copilot of a B36 way back when. He has a small airfield now and flies a Cessna. The garage is great !! Thanks for posting https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif

Dennis, Verne tells me he'll get it all set up so it will happen. I too am looking forward to seeing the " Springfield clan " again. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

When you come back here for your " annual " visit you'll get to see the new barn this time. Maybe the tool shed also if I haven't cleaned it all out by then.

And we even proved it's a good shop for working on boats! I have reliable information that the next visit will be someone's birthday too.
See you in a month.
