Cross Ram hood
When visiting the old racer Anders Eiward recently he showed me the Camaro he used to race back in the seventies. This car was painted in Sweden.
Then: http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/q...s-resan019.jpg now: http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/q...s-resan032.jpg He bought the GM glassfibre hood back in 1975 he said. Does anyone have any idea of how many glassfibre hoods GM made ? |
Re: Cross Ram hood
Cool...Can you get a pic of the underside of the hood and especially the back of the cowl where it ends. I am looking to see if the back end of the scoop has a lip.

Re: Cross Ram hood

Re: Cross Ram hood
suby...If you have not gotten 100 PM's already, I'd be interested in the hood for my Camaro. PM me if it is still for sale. Thanks, Max

Re: Cross Ram hood
These are the pics I took of the underside, Charley. Looks like it has a lip towards the back.
Itīs funny because Claes, who used to own my COPO, knows another guy who has (or had) another GM Cross Ram hood. It almost found itīs way onto my car years ago. http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/q...s-resan037.jpg http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/q...s-resan036.jpg |

I'm looking for a picture of this lip. This is a repo from Sterling Corvette from years ago. It has no lip. https://www.yenko.net/attachments/418949-002.JPG

Re: Cross Ram hood
It certainly looks like there is a bit of a lip in the first picture he posted. The reflection off the gloss black makes it tough to see the rear of the scoop portion, but it sure looks like a lip.

Re: Cross Ram hood
Your right Jeff. Now that I look harder at his pic I see the lip. Yes John Brower.
