NOS dimpled wheel bearing caps VS. Reproduction
Is there any quick way to tell the difference between the two? I have 5 pairs of the reproduction caps in front of me as well as a pair of "NOS" caps in their original boxes. How can I be sure these are indeed NOS and not reproduction slipped into a GM box? I can say that all 5 sets of the reproduction caps that I have look identical and the "NOS" caps are slightly different than the reproductions that I have. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Try measuring the thickness of the two. Often the repro parts are made of a thinner material to save costs. Tom.

Bingo! The reproduction caps are definitely made from thinner stock. Reproduction cap on the left.
