I have been over the site and unless I am missing something they do not state what the entry fees are unless you actually attempt to consign a car.

Marc:

I believe different time slots on different days have various prices. In theory, it's first come first serve but, obviously a Saturday afternoon time is better than Friday morning. I had heard that BJ was charging a $5K premium for television time slots. So, I think your best bet is to call and see what slots are available and the associated price. Ed

marc,
you wont get any info from them on the phone, unless you are a major repeat seller. your best bet: do the online consignment form and email your pics to john. they havent officially started assignments yet. they will call you when they start placing the cars. when they call they will let you know what spot they have assigned (you can always ask for a different slot, but nothing is guaranteed). if your not happy with the time they set you at, then just decline. the time slots run anywhere from approx. 600-2000, there may be select slots that are more $$$, but your average prime time slot at vegas should run around 1200'ish... just remember, you dont have to pay a dime till you accept, and it costs nothing but a little time to find out!

Thank you Scott. I think you have given me the information that I need. I am trying to convince an owner that it makes more sense to sell me his car directly now than to take it to the auction.I think that based on commission, consigment fee and cost to transport that it is reasonable to say that a car that is sold for $40K would net the owner approximately $35K after those fees are paid? Thanks, Marc

More like $30K after the rest of the incidentals are added in. Remember there's also hotels, meals, parking, hookers...bail money, etc.,

You forgot Strip Clubs. That's another 200 to 300 bucks a day/night.
