Anybody know these original smog parts...?

Does anybody know what this diverter valve was for? The only numbers I see are "7034481", with a "4" beneath that, and a round label on the end cap with "GF' in black letters. It would have been a take-off from a new car, both hoses still intact, the larger one "GM-330554-JB-BF" lettered every few inches, 2 raised lines running the length, one more pronounced than the other, still has the tower clamp on one end. Also have the elbow, "3942533", followed by "Atlas" within a rectangular box, followed by a "12". Probably have the pump around here someplace, but would have to do a hunt. My guess is I would have had this stuff from 1968-70 or so. Never bothered looking at any of it.

Thanks.

What's the date on the tower clamp?

All those components were commonly used among other vehicles.
But one code stands out GF.That was used on the #295 diverters.
The fact that it's an adhesive label,an not an ink stamp makes me believe this came off one of the following vehicles:
An after December 1969 Camaro w/302 or 350cid.
A 1970-72 Camaro w/LT-1 350cid.
Any 1972-73-74 smallblock vehicle.

Tower clamp is 1 1/16", dated 2/73. That leads me to believe the clamp did not come on this diverter originally, and maybe not the hose either. I would have had these since 1968-69, and most likely my guys would have taken them off of a zapper. Some days we would strip 2 or 3 smogs sets a day and toss em in a dumpster. If in fact the parts are 1973, the only possibility is take-offs from my own 454 Monte Carlo new in 1973.

What do you guys think?

Found the pump: 1432S, so I believe is 143rd day of 1972, meaning the 29295 diverter & hoses & clamp & elbow are all 1972-73.

With regard to smog pump dates, I place little if any value on this. Being a judge of 2nd gen Camaro LEGENDS at Carlisle, it is next to impossible to read the date, if you can see it all.......

In my opinion having survivor hoses, a quality restored divertor and white pump fan are the most important components.

Even the repop 458 Pulley is difficult to ID in the installed position. Repop trees are pretty good also.

Obviously if you have OEM/survivor parts great, but at the end of the day I feel your $$$$ might be better spent elsewhere, than to crazy with dating/originality on some of this stuff.

As with the 827/526 Exhaust Manifolds you CANT SEE dates when installed, so whats all that fuss about. I'd suggest to anyone buy the best condition ones, have them flame sprayed (or should I say reskinned, ala Jerry) and hose them down with VHT high temp cast blast.....

..........but then again what do I know ?????
