Pittsburgh Post Yenko Nova

Back in the early to mid 80's I remember there being a Yenko Nova listed for sale in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette Sunday Edition. IIRC it was listed as a green, 1 0f 30-something but was rusty. Does anyone remember this listing and what happened to the car?

No but it would be interesting to see the ad. Was it a Deuce or a '69 427?

Joe,
Do you know if the Post archieved the classifieds along with the rest of the paper or if they even archieve any of it. I can narrow it down to 24 weeks worth of Sunday's if they did the classifieds as the ad appeared during the times the campground out the road was open.

Lon - contact the Pgh Library system. I am sure they have it archived. I have used libraries before to do research on cars and found their folks to be quite helpful. When they find what you want they can fax info to you at a nominal fee. I have also requested info from old phone books which they also had (Chicago/Evanston Library system).

Good luck https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Years ago I had a day off so I went to the small town where my Z was sold and visited their library. I went thru tons of microfilm from the late 60's and found old ads from the dealer, news about their building expansion, some good recipes https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif and like a needle in a haystack I found a small article about the 1st owner of my car from when he won a scholarship to a local college. Cool going thru that old stuff.

Are you sure it was the Post Gazette or was it the now defunct Pittsburgh Press?

Re: Pittsburgh Post Yenko Nova

Most defineatly was the Post as it was only in my area on Sunday's and I only read the classifieds in it. I started driving in '82 (legally https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif) and graduated in '84 so I'm thinking it was in that time frame as I don't think I had bought my Challenger yet. I bought it in June of '84.
