Club racing, need your input.
 

For the past several years the sYc and it’s members have worked with event promoters in setting up special Supercar displays at their shows, such as VetteFest, York, MusclecarReunion, etc.

Myself and a couple of other members have been doing it on their own, but so far, except for the SCR, the club has only been doing static displays, but a couple of promoters have expressed an interest for it to include exhibition drag racing, as a group.

I need/want your input. Here are my thoughts.

It would be set up and ran very similar to the SCR.

1. Cars would need to be either what we classify as Supercars or vintage racecars to participate. Open to all makes.
2. No competition. No ladder or bracket.
3. Pairings would be hand picked for the best matchups
4. Would run as a group, usually during primetime
5. Driver/car able to pass tech
6. Forum on Yenko.net for info about participating cars, schedule, results, etc.


IMO, this could be a lot of fun and a chance for us to exhibit ours cars to a whole new group of enthusiasts.

I too think it is a great idea.
The new group would be great too as it may generate much needed information and leads about other vintage dragcars.
