Just wanted to ask the rarity of the 3970014 block and the 3927170 water pump? Thanks in advance.

Are you saying that the 1970 300hp 350 you bought has a #014 block ? They seem to be rare. I have one from a 1973 Chevelle.

Yes, it's an 014 block. It appears to be out of a Monte Carlo or Chevelle. 4 bolt mains too! T0707CRE

I have just entered the "numbers game"!

I have an 014 block in my 70 Camaro SS 350 300 hp survivor. I believe the 014 blocks were cast at a Tonowanda foundry whereas the majority of blocks (010) were from Flint. My 350 was also produced at the Tonowanda plant.

Chris, I don't really know what I am getting myself into with this motor. All that I knew was that it's a 300HP 350 and they don't come up very often. The motor was never taken apart and appears to be in great rebuildable shape. It's close to the build date of my car, give or take a month, but it's close enough for my car. I would like to make it look stock too.
