Interesting '72 Chevelle, 350/4-sp, Donation Vehicle
Pretty uncommon to see a Chevelle donated to an animal shelter, but here it is. The seller doesn't seem to believe this is a Super Sport - but I'm thinking it might be due to the non-gauge round instrument dash that would have been an SS-only piece (but then, there's the 10-bolt and lack of F41 that's implying it's a non-SS car). In any case the VIN confirms it was ordered with the L48 4bbl 350.
Has some concerning rusty spots, but definitely restorable. I’m actually 90% sure in thinking that you could order the gauge package on a non SS BB car. Years ago I found a Canadian documented 350 Chevelle convertible , that had the gauges….
I was surprised to say the least … I will look around and see if I can find my old info on the car, but only one I ever saw … Anybody else ever see or hear of this? |
You could definitely order U14 with V8 Malibus, but this car has the non-gauge round dash which would only have been offered on base SS and Monte Carlos.
