'66 Pontiac 2+2 421HO Survivor on BAT
Very nice one owner car with the right options. Has that perfect sleeper look with the standard wheel covers.

This very early build 09E (5th week of Sept.) wearing paint KK is gorgeous!
Powertrain doesn’t get much better. A 376 HO Tri-Power with the long branch exhaust manifolds hooked to a three speed auto with a posi rear. Plus transistor ignition. Hang On! All the rare vacuum linkage looks to be intact. I wish they had a photo of the vacuum reservoir fastened to the RH inner fender skirt. I would love to own this Pontiac. |

----Chris,,, How much difference do you think in the value of this 66 would there be if it was a 4-speed, with 8-lugs??? Love the car, especially the gut!.....Bill S

The complete vacuum linkage set-up is non existent these days and it’s refreshing to see it 56 years later. Chris |

These types of comparisons are always difficult. Any type of Muscle car with a 4 speed will always trump an Automatic with the vast majority of collectors. The 3-speed automatic in this car is a step up from the ST300 used in the GTO. Although as more years pass the Pontiacs with the factory 3x2 units using the complex Vacuum linkage are disappearing. That’s what makes this car so unique. The 8-lugs are such a cool/rare wheel, so having them on this ‘66 2+2 would be a big plus. So a 4-speed with 8-lugs would definitely command more $$$$. The production numbers are close with the transmissions on the 421 HO. This car in question does have a host of other very desirable options that should help with the sale. I would ask Grant’s valued opinion. Chris |

What a bummer!
The right guy lost. Now it’s off to a dealer instead of an honest home. |
