Very nice wholesale invoice. How did the original owner secure that rare piece of paperwork?

When the original owner sold it to his cousin in 1983, there was no paperwork. It was not until 1985 when Les the 3rd & 5th owner called Wantz Chevy & talked with the owner & asked if they remembered the car & they did and told him they thought they had the dealer file & Les asked if he could get a copy & the owner told him to come over & he would give him the file. Also in 1985 when Les bought the car, he was going thru the trunk & removed the spare tire & pulled up the original trunk mat & found the POP.

Yep. Numbers matching 390HP

Does your block have "CONV" on the back of it?

CONV is on all blocks, I believe it is followed by a number designating the conveyor it traveled on after it was cast.

Great car, Interesting that it has a small block fan shrould , maybe it was damaged by a failed motor mount and that's all they could find.
Are the original motor mounts still in it?

Should be a 3939391.
