I love the 077 heads.

077s

They are supposed to be stronger at the stud bosses than the 074s I hope.

When i used the O74 heads when i drag raced, i always used the longest rocker arm stud i could before it just bottomed out on the stud boss bottom end. Never had issues with cracking a stud boss. Also spring pressures were key too not cracking the stud bosses on the 074 heads. Also used stud gridles helped too.

Nice score!

What is it going into?

I've used stud girdles on my 077 heads since they were new. I'm not taking any chances of breaking off a stud boss.

Going into a 68 Camaro with a Richmond Super Street 5 speed.

I am not sure how to build it. I am taking it apart, balancing it. New bearings and rings. I have a nice hyd roller cam kit or I could use the solid lifter cam thats in it. I will be installing stud girdles for extra insurance even though the spring pressure is only in the 340 range. The rockers on the heads are the L type long slot.
