69 Chevelle steering column
 
----A friend needs a 69 Chevelle complete floor shift steering column. doesn't absolutely need tilt. Whatta ya got???.....Bill S

Bill, for a manual or auto trans?
The difference is the linkage for the backdrive hooks up slightl different between the 2

I'd like to learn what that difference is, as I have a tilt column and had intended it for a 4 speed application.

Manual column has a short bracket that sticks out about1 1/2 inches, and is straight, while the auto trans column has a bracket at the same position that has a double bend and sticks out about 2 1/2 inches. Both brackets have a single hole where the backdrive rod attaches.
