Re: Grady Burch's Day 2 COPO Camaro
You just can't beat a polished up, flawlessly straight, dark car! Stellar workmanship! 999 points.....and it shows. If I can score at least 25 on my car I'll be ecstatic!
Excellent, excellent work my friend. And I'll be trying that clear on the Mustang later next year. Dave |

Re: Grady Burch's Day 2 COPO Camaro
If I may make a suggestion....
I'd get a functioning PCV installed in place of one of those breathers. It will help keep the 427 healthy for years to come. |

If not, the motor has a tendency to suck oil thru the PCV system and out the exhaust. |

Re: Grady Burch's Day 2 COPO Camaro
What's the earliest known CBE stamping. Thought those were found on later October built cars. Charles 09D RS COPO was a BE 0911 ?
|
Re: Grady Burch's Day 2 COPO Camaro
I acquired this rear end after purchasing the car, original was long gone. I have reason to believe this lines up perfect to assembly date of the car.

Re: Grady Burch's Day 2 COPO Camaro
There you go Burchy. SS/D against a SS/DA car. Should be a good race. Same NHRA index so no headstarts
|
Re: Grady Burch's Day 2 COPO Camaro
Actually, SS/D was/is 427/425 not L88s, (as I'm building mine back to '69 as-raced status, but who's worried about that). GREAT JOB GUYS!!!
Looks like the Sistine Chapel isn't the only masterpiece by "Michael Angelo"!!! (I couldn't resist any longer) |
