Smokey Yunick 427 Documented Engine

Documented 1966 427 Smokey Yunick built 427 engine with letter of authenticity by the family. This 1966 427 engine has the very rare (1 of 4) built experimental 299 intakes that Smokey engineered. An explanation of this engine iis in an article written by Bob Mcclurg on the 1966 Dana Chevelle that was found. This is the real deal, authenticated, documented, and verified. I have the engine specs, but, will not reveal them to anyone but the buyer. I have receipts and the engine comes with a framed original letter of authenticity. Don't miss a rare chance to have a conversation piece or install it in a car and watch the value escalate. I can be reached at 336 215 0876, Greensboro, NC. [email protected],[email protected], $40,000 or best offer, will end auction early for interested party.H. Yunick is stamped on the block, intake and heads. Ebay item #260309591913

Why not reveal any specs? I am sure someone would want to know what is done to the engine before dropping 40K on it.

Re: Smokey Yunick 427 Documented Engine

The engine was built by Smokey Yunick himself. The engine was disassembled and gone back through in February 2006.The block has his initials on it (H.Yunick) but you can barely see his name in the pictures. The person buying will be able to see it when they pick it up or when it is shipped. Rest assured it is the real deal stamped H. Yunick, heads are the same, and if you are aware of the 299 intake, then you know who did them for Chevrolet. There were supposedly only 4 set's (experimental) ever made. Here are some of the specs:
1) CBR 253 Solid Roller
2) Hert BV Roller Lifters
3) Hers 236-237 Roller springs
4) Com 73216 10 degree retainers
5) Com 616-16 Locks 10 degree

9) Her 99165 Roller Button
11) Clo 93110 Timing set roller
12) PolyMear Com dist. gear
13) Manley Lock Cam Plate
14) Mel. HV.77 Oil Pump
15) Mel. 1577 Oil Pump Shaft
16) Oil Pump Screen
17) Arp Oil pump Stud 2307003
18) Roller fuel pump Rod Her 11985
19) Fel Pro Gasket set 2618
20) Moly Rings 030 pf 3150028.030
21) Main Bearings Clevite
22) Rod Bearings Clevite
23) Rect Intake Gasket & Oil Pan GAsket

When the motor was disassembled and gone back through in Feb. 2006 the following was done Clean Pass.Block & Vat, Hone block,Install cam bearings,Install freeze plugs, clean crank shaft, grind crank shaft .010-.010, install new rod bolts & recon Rods, balance rotating assembly, deck block .015,press pistons & off for balancing,New cam bearings grooved, rod bolts. The total cost to tear down the engine and go back through it after Smokey Yunick had run the engine was about $3200.00. All receipts are include with the sale. I hope this may help.
