I use SPOT Trace. It works great and is easy to use. They do get you with activation fees and a 1 year contract. Overall great product, but customer service is a stickler. I wanted to cancel my service after selling a car; they told me they couldn't as I had a few months left on the contract, which is understandable.

After having our 5 ton International stolen, I was looking into this. APPLE pod are terrible for this as they do not transmit there own signal. They piggyback off a nearby sina IF there is one. A phone have an app to detect pods or GPS signals. Also apps that disable pods and GPS. Also they pull the power source at fusebox till GPS is gone from there detectors.
Now to stop your ar from being stolen, GPS sucks. Only good to follow around your drvers. Best is still kill switch and system immobilizers. We are now killing 3 different crcuits in my truck so it will not start. But they can still tow or severely damage it. |
