Loaded '65 Impala Super Sport 400hp 409/4-sp Convertible
I'd consider this among the holy grail of '65 full-size cars. Love the options and color combo...just a sweet car. The block has been decked, unfortunately...and the 2M on the trim tag (I believe) confirms it left the factory with a Powerglide.

65 409 convert
As has been pointed out, there is a 2M on the cowl tag which means it was a PG car, so it can't a factory 400HP car. In addition, the 400HP 409 was not available with AC either. Pretty car, but it makes you wonder how correct it really is, especially with the block being decked.

What a fun cruiser, but yikes, $67,500.

----Tach redline starts at 5000. What was the redline on a 400hp? Was there a low horse 409 available in 65, and if so could this car have started out life as that? Makes at least some sense with the AC!.....Bill S

For the big car fans, my friend is the 2nd owner of this 409/powerglide car, his aunt was the original owner.
