Hey Gang, got these at the same place as the exhaust manifolds I just posted.

As near as I could discern, the Chevelle on the rack was a recent barn find that is being "restored" - I don't know what the plan is for the car, but it seemed like a big block convertible with power windows that was pulled from a field... the most I could get out of them was that these NOS tips have been in the trunk (which was open to the elements) for a long time. And I believe them based on the weathered appearance of the boxes and the 1984 dated newspaper they were wrapped in; these tips have been in the trunk for nearly 40 years!

The car was put away wet years and years ago with grand plans of getting fixed up - I understand there were other NOS parts with it, but they weren't shown to me...

Now, here's the odd part - the boxes are correctly numbered 3956756 BUT the tips are actually stamped 3936756 ! - is a typo possible on these kinds of things?! I mean, I know anything could have happened, but that seems very odd to me... based on how I saw these in situ and who sold them to me, I have no reason to doubt their genuineness.

Again, these are what they are... they're not the super rare / desirable unstamped ones, and these stamps are on the bottom side...

Heck, I'd bet mis-stamped ones are rarer than unstamped... HAH! - If you want a one-of-none pair, here you go...

The chrome is very acceptable and typical of that era for NOS GM flash chrome parts.

Not rolled tips - replacement for 69 70 71 and 72 Chevelles I believe.

Many photos below for the full picture.

350.00 PPG shipped to the 48.

Thanks Friends,
Anthony

That is remarkable, that the chrome is still that good after sitting exposed to weather for years. The boxes alone are collectable keepsakes in that condition...
