Coffee Walk Z-11
I guess this one was not going to be restored after all. It's on eBay now.
The segment on this festival car starts at 41 minutes in... eBay : https://www.ebay.com/itm/17532268133...718c%7Ciid%3A1 |
Just an expensive set of tags and title. Drive train might be restorable, but there is nothing of that body that would be worth attempting to save.

32 years in the dirt took a toll. And the original engine is gone.

Too many salty Indiana winters.. Sitting in a damp environment for 30 years finished it off.

Weird that the car was being lifted on a large wooden pallet, never seen that technique before.

If the original engine is gone, like Kurt said, it's junk. Just give it a respectful ending and crush what is left. I don't agree that it should be kept as is and displayed. For what purpose ? To prove there are people who will hold onto a vehicle until there is nothing left to save, rather than sell, or give it away, so someone could have saved it 25 yrs ago ? No, someone will buy it for the tags and title and resurrect with all replacement parts as an "investment grade, numbers matching" Indy car and try to sell it for a fortune in a couple years. This pattern has become predictable with once valuable cars that have been left to rot to nothing. |
Isn’t he the guy that just sold a controversial car at Mecum that was claimed to be a ‘67 Pace Car? This latest unearthing still has me scratching my head. I know the whole “they’re still out there” thing, but whoever funds the resto on this hulk is WAY out there.

Buy It Now for just $15,800.
