trim tag
I am not a trim tag expert but that body number is very close to my 2L 4K conv.#149416

That photo was shown in a recent FB Marketplace ad. Unfortunately the car's VIN indicated it began life as a 6-cyl, so either the VIN or TT was swapped at some point.

I am looking at the car in a few hours… just to check it out.. will confirm VIN.. car has a BB heater box in pics

No
My car is a 06A date. Vin starts 230. Something not right. I see something else about the tag but won’t call it out here.

Any sign of original Mountain Green paint on the body shell? Or a bracket underneath for a rear axle radius rod? If so, maybe a L78 car with a junkyard VIN tag stuck on it after being stolen at some point??
Can't really think of a good reason it would be the other way around (correct VIN tag, wrong trim tag). Why would anyone take a 4K tag and plaster it onto a 6-cyl car and leave the 6-cyl VIN tag in place?? Not like you are going to fool anybody that way. |
I think the tag is good, but in this situation, that's pretty meaningless.
