Orig Black on White '66 Impala SS, 427/425hp, Docs
Wow - stunning car originally ordered in these colors, with the L72. Having the original car shipper document is gold.
Sounds like neither the engine (CE block) or trans are original, but for the right price I'd love to own it. Looks like it has been recently spray bombed underneath, which is a bit of a bummer. Strange the the M20 RPO is designed "4 SPD TRANS & TACH" Link to 1966 L72 Impala SS auction https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NTMzWDgwM...7.JPG?set_id=2 https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NTMzWDgwM...7.JPG?set_id=2 https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NTMzWDgwM...7.JPG?set_id=2 https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NTMzWDgwM...7.JPG?set_id=2 https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NTMzWDgwM...7.JPG?set_id=2 168376S170853 |
A stunning combination for sure, as good as it gets for me! The rally wheels and tail pipes spoil the effect somewhat IMO.
This dealer is semi-local to me. |

There is a lotta stuff on this car that is not on the shipper copy??

Tachometer equipped cars did not get a vacuum gauge. Tach cars received a clock where the vacuum gauge normally is in the console gauges. The dash top clock would be incorrect for this.

My old '66 Impala had an AM radio with front antenna. This was a basic Impala sport coupe.
