Neat '68 Z/28, #s 302/M22, GM Canada Docs
Pretty low option car - no radio, console, etc - but appears to still have its original 302 and M22 trans. Selling for about $50K USD.
Sold new at Haskett Motors in St Thomas, ON. Dont like the stampings
|
The "M" on the MO looks very wide. But I think SOME original stamps have that. Too bad they were not smart enough to use the EXACT same stamps on EVERY car at ALL factories . But that would be too easy. I will wait for the experts to chime in. ... Danny

Yes. lets wait for the experts.

Love the car but if engine + trans hit w/ same gang stamp, why are they different?:hmmm: Likely more differences but note elevation of third last Vin digit 3, which or is either stamping original?:dunno: :beers: ~ Pete . |
1/2 quarters replaced and floor replaced.
|
"1/2 quarters replaced and floor replaced".........Isnt that in the description?
|
Yes but but to me and probably a few others it kinda takes it out of the "Neat" category.
|
Pad and trans are suspect. A lot of inconsistent digits with ones I have around that time frame. Still a Z.
|
So assuming non #'s motor and tranny, but original Z what's the market price on it?
I'd too like to see inside pics of the trunk. My definition of 1/2 quarters is the seam is somewhere between the top of the wheel well but well below the upper body line but someone else's definition might be at the upper body line. How they were installed makes a huge difference if you can see the seam from casually looking into the trunk. |
