3043 carb

Is a 3043 carb a one year / one body style only carb? My cousin has one just sitting on a shelf in his garage. He didn’t know what it was for and I recognized the number but couldn’t initially come up with application until I did a little research.

3043 Holley....
According to Colvin's book...1965 327/350hp Chevelle.
His notes mention the DG suffix.... I don't see it listed for any other applications. -wilma |
Thanks! What does 572 date code put the date at?

1965
July 2nd week |
That’s late in the model year! Near the end of 1965 production?

3043 Carb
Isn't this also for a 1966 Chevy II with a L-79 327/350 HP car as well? With a 572 build date, it would be perfect for an early 1966 car. Bill

Wonder if it is a service replacement for 1965.
