'69 L88 Corvette museum estate auction

A local auctioneer's estate auction September 17th. I wasn't aware of this car and wouldn't have thought the proprietor to have a Vette, let alone an L88. The museum was about an hour West of me in Williams (central) IA right off I-35.

I much prefer the vinyl covered hard tops on vettes. Especially when they are black on black.

I have received a PM from a member giving info that a Google search of the VIN may question the authenticity of this car. Since I started this thread I feel obligated to encourage doing your home work and draw your own conclusions. Sorry for any confusion and thank you for bringing this to my attention!!

Man, that is a big accusation to throw out without any other info. If this was my car and someone said that on a public forum with no other knowledge than a PM from an unknown member, I would be upset.
