'71 Challenger R/T V-Code 440-6 Project, Wisconsin Garage Find
Looks like a pretty worthy start to an expensive, but worthwhile restoration. Not a lot of 440-6 cars running around and this one looks solid, especially by Midwest standards. The ancient bias-plies tell you this car has been stored for at least 30 years I'd guess, maybe considerably more than that.

Love the old school day-two slots and bias M-50 tires on this one. The way I remember them growing up.

It has the really rare H5X9 black vinyl with orange plaid cloth interior option. This would be a really cool looking car finished.

What would it cost to restore ?
I love the rear tires as well, reminds me oh HS.. air shocks baby!! |
I love the car but this claim makes no sense:
"Great money maker! Great Investment! Easily a $75,000 car when restored!" It's a "great money maker" worth 75k restored? It will take more than 75k to restore it. |

Let me Translate: "Great money maker!" (for the seller) "Great Investment!" (in terms of $$$$ spent at AutoMetalDirect sheetmetal supplier) "Easily a $75,000 car when restored!" (after spending $150,000 not counting the car price) Checkout that frame/firewall/floor/trunk rust. That's really bad! |

Yeah, it's a shame it wasn't preserved better over the years. 440+6 MOPARs are among my favorites - especially the Cuda's and Challengers.
What is the car worth properly restored? I don't keep up with the values that closely. |
Assuming all the matching and rare parts are there, you would have to restore the car yourself to be anywhere close to making any money on the car, and that includes shopping around for parts and taking your time. Without the original block though, the value will be reduced, but I still think this one deserves to be brought back to life.

Yeah, certainly not a car to part out and junk, but sounds like the seller might need to make some room with his price.
