I seen this ad on craigslist and just copied it here including the title. I wish the car was mine! It is not. Unfortunately I'm not able to edit the title of my post to better clarify. Dustin is the name of the guy who posted the ad. The ad is posted in Washington state somewhere.
https://wenatchee.craigslist.org/wan...204920281.html From the ad, "I purchased and have been restoring this 1969 Camaro RSSS L78. It was sold new at Appleway Chevrolet in Spokane. The car spent a lot of time in the Twisp and Omak area. Would love to find out some more info about the car! Originally was dark green (fathom green) with deluxe dark green interior. " |
Congrats! good luck with the new find!

This looks like the car that Mike Kaiser was selling a while back? Love this car!
Neat seeing the vintage photos of the car painted triple black. Strangely one triple black photo looks fairly recent with nice paint while the other photos show it on the trailer with patina (presumably as purchased). |

I just saw this! This is my car I just got done restoring! I was able to track down those old pictures of the car! This is what it looks like now! I just picked up a set of XT wheels for it and tracked down a CX turbo 400 for it.

Nice! Are those Appleway license plate frames on there? The 68 SS427 L72 car I helped sell recently was sold at Appleway new. They sold a lot of musclecars to the pilots at the nearby air base in the late 60’s from what I’ve been told.

What a beauty!!

Nicely done, looks really great! Maybe you're already aware also further along w/ it but what of Kurt's note that the Original Block may exist back in this 05/17 thread when Mike advertised the car here... https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthread.php?p=1351881 124379L516725 :beers: ~ Pete . |

Yes, plate frames are on the car and I even found an Appleway Chevrolet hat!
Thank you Pete, the car came with the numbers engine and she’s all rebuilt and running in the car for the first time since around the early mid ‘70s. I was able to find the right date Holley, 499 distributor, 837 alternator, heads, and even the right code automatic radiator! Still working on some small stuff, I have right right power steering cap, just have to swap it out. Going to get the automatic redone and installed this winter. |
Wow, What a wonderful car! Great job!
