'67 Chevelle SS396/4-sp Convertible, $22,500
I was hot on this one until I saw the description - East Coast car with frame rust. Still runs and drives with a NOM '68 396, but I do wonder why the seller doesn't include any pictures of said frame rust.
Oshawa built so GM Canada docs are available.... Looks like it has a GM rectangular port intake and rectangular port heads. Being a Canadian car, it would be interesting to run the report to see how it was built.

That would be a heck of a find…

Out of 612 l78 67 chevelle I bet there were only 5-10% were convertibles. Would be awesome if the data comes back from Canada showing it was an l78.
|
No L78 cars were ever build in Canada , as far as I know.

This one keeps going round. Third time listed in the last 6 or 8 months. IIRC, went from NY to NJ, now MI. Someone has put a new hood on it now.
Per trim tag originally a bright blue bench seat with column shifted TH400 (M40). No L34 designation shown, so presumably an L35 325 horse. |
Sold $22,500.00!

It appears the quarters were patched or replaced with aftermarket at some point, but the rear wheel houses, doors and fenders are bondo sculptures to go along with the rusted frame.
That carb is a real Unicorn. It's old but updated with an electric choke and plastic diaphragm cap, vacuum secondaries. Probably does work OK, just looks odd. |
