'69 Dart GTS, NOM 383/4-sp, Docs

Neat car with fairly strong bidding as I type this. Unfortunately, the original mill is gone, but that's not an uncommon fate for these cars.

From what I've read, there were 784 '69 GTS Darts built with the 383/4-sp - rare combo.

Would look SO much better with a set of repop bias ply tires, though. Getting sick of seeing Cooper Cobras on EVERYTHING these days.

The unique A-body, 383 cast iron exhaust manifolds are gone. That's half the value of the car right there.

A 69 Dart with a 340 4 speed would beat those 383[s all day long in the quarter mile. Just me, but i would take a 340 any day over the 383 mill.

Agreed.

Are they super cheap or something?

If you are going to use crappy radials, at least use Radial TA's.

Price ... If you have way too much $$ to toss at your ride, the T/A seems to be the pick. For those of us that haven't that luxury, ya' have to watch where the rubber meets the road. Just sayin'. And another thought ... many cars weren't equipped with the BFGs in the first place ...
