.480 lift cam, big valves and .060 off the head with the stock flat top pistons for 9.5 comp, Clifford intake and Holley 390. Builder doesn't have a dyno, but his build program estimates the hp around 300 and torque at 425 and he's built a LOT of race engines based on info from that program. He hadn't ever built a high performance 6 and had to laugh when he finally idled it down from the 2,000 rpm breakin and it has a slight lope at 650 rpm. I've waited a LONG time to have a vehicle to put this in. |

Very cool.
We used our BB version as a tow rig for the race car. |
Header looks awesome. Small, long tubes will really help the torque numbers.
Most guys go way to big on the tubes. |
Unfortunately, I sold those headers after I sold the truck. NOW I wish I had just kept them. Lost my ass on them at a swap meet. Not a popular part people are looking for...:frown:

Very cool! Congrats

Welp, I just bought this one too, for the box and front clip.

Just got home. Unearthed a ‘70 Z that had been stored away in a Detroit garage for years. Pretty excited! More pics soon. This is the good side :-)
