Tim, I'm glad that cosmetically you're not going to do anything to the car. I hope to see it someday.

Wow! Nice car. Was this car on the Los Angeles Craigslist a few months ago?

Lucky man!

Great find. Looks like it has had the FI unit replaced with a 65 7017380 unit?

Bill,

The car does not have the decal by the jacking instructions, so I suspect not original to the car. They are original wheels though.

I was playing with some #7 on the paint. There may be some life left there.

I believe so Tony. I found it on Corvette Forum

It's a 7380, but it appears to be the original as the VIN is stamped in the plenum. It does have some updates on the unit.

I wonder-Could this be the same car that was in a fenced area off of Valley View Rd in Stanton, Ca. 1978-79? I worked in high school as a night delivery manager for the Orange County Register newspaper from 2am to 6am-and the building was right next door.

Bruce,

I am awaiting a call from a previous owner. I know the car was flipped twice in 2020. The owner who stored the car at John's Fuel Injection Service in Paramount traveled a ton. John had passed away (2020) after his battle with cancer. The shop was then cleaned out and the car was sold. It is speculated that owner was the son of the original owner. I'll post updates on that as I get them.

The car was originally sold at Hovey-Dallas Chevrolet Gardena, CA

Nice to see it end up with someone who cares about it.

IIRC, late '64s used the 7380 unit.

I love this '64, reminds me of one I owned 40 years ago.
