Speaking of tracking crashes: When I was a little kid I met Willie Borsch at Tri City Dragway (Saginaw-ish, Michigan).

The car had a little US map on the turtle deck and there was a "flame" representing every place he crashed.

Luckly the owners of GLD are committed and have even spent money redoing the track recently with Kurt Johnson doing the work, which is awesome.

THE Kurt Johnson of Pro Stock fame? If that's the case........that is cool!

In 2010 a casual friend, an MIT engineering grad who worked in John Deere tractor development, died when he lost control of his Viper and went sideways into a guard rail.
He had a small collection of Corvettes and hi perf motor cycles, with some amateur racing experience. - Bill W

I don't know. Kurt used to be the track manager at Summit/Norwalk, now he travels around and advices/fixes drag strips.
