Is this company owned by Chip, who is closely associated with Reggie Jackson? If I read the ad right the car does not have the born with motor. Sure does look like a nice car with a neat history. It is good to see the 1970 Camaros getting some respect.

Re: 70 z on evilbay

This Post below is by GTO Don. He evidently was the man amongst a long string of past owners that did ALL the extensive restoration. This accounting is all telling in so far as to how the Camaro became what we see today........

"Kenny, I appreciate your kind thoughts on the car and Im not trying to kill the car. But when you say I did an adequate job DETAILING IT thats a little short i think. I respect your opinion about cars especially camaros but if you think that rebuilding the engine, trans, and rear and taking the whole car apart and rebuilding all the mechanicals putting on an exhaust system, then doing bodywork to the drivers door and repainting the driver side of the car and spot painting it in other areas [WHICH BTW I DID THE PAINT WORK MYSELF WITH TOPCOAT DUPONT LAQUER WITH HEATLAMPS]is just an adequate DETAIL job I dissagree with you. But in all fairness to you. You were not there and did not see the car before I started. If Harry Lutz seen the article then he will vouch for the work I did. Maybe he will post pics too!! And you and I know the truth about how the deal went down with the car and I did want it but thats another story. We wont touch on that. I hope we can be civil with each other as we always run in to each other at the shows I really dont want to be enemies! Back to the car, Your right I do feel shortchanged in the article because of my extensive work on the car but do love the fact that something I did made it to a magazine. That is not the reason for this thread!! I just dont understand where this cars history came from,I mean nobody locally ever heard anything about any jenkins connection to the car!! And I think your a car guy and would also like the truth. I think you touched on it when you said that maybe he tuned it but as for it going to strickler-jenkins shop ID HAVE TO SEE PAPERWORK. I would not believe the original owner as he was pissed he lost the car to his wife!! THATS ANOTHER STORY! And Kenny, you seen all the boxes of parts from Lanzalotti. Everthing that was on the car was bought by the original owner from the dealer. Do you honestly think that jenkins would let you bring your own parts if he was to build a car for you?? I think not!! New jersey racers are a tight group of guys and are going to find out shortly what the deal is. Sam and some other local racers know grump and we will see if he remembers this car or doing cars in general for people. Sorry for the controversy. Now maybe we can move on! "

Re: 70 z on evilbay

Sorry for posting the link.

I was not around for round one of this and hope I did not unintentionally open a can of worms. My interests in these cars should be obvious and I have been amazed by the inconsistency in pricing lately. I thought it was very interesting and based on the information presented in THIS add on ebay I thought it was worth getting the opinions of others. I love to soak up the information and here the opinions of those who I consider to be the experts, you guys.

Sorry

Legendary had the car for sale twice. I've been in it for a ride and it is very fast and very nice. It was owned locally a few years ago. The car keeps changing hands, but it is a nice car.
