1969 Z/28 Mint un-restored orig cond - only 17K mi
Here’s a rare opportunity to own one of the best, if not THE best, un-restored original 1969 Z/28 Camaros’, this one with only 17, 867 miles on it. This is THE REAL DEAL, folks! Don’t pass on this rare opportunity to own a true piece of muscle car history!
I represent a local muscle car collector, who has decided to liquidate a few cars from his extensive collection. This is the first of several cars that will be listed over the next few months, so keep checking back frequently and save my ID as a favorite seller to receive updates on the items that I will be listing here on eBay. Getting back to the car, this ‘Z’ is in MINT condition, and has all the matching numbers on the engine, transmission and rear end! This car is DEFINITELY a collector’s car, and it is intended to be sold as such. The starting price reflects this, so as to weed out anyone whose intention it is to buy this car purely for recreational use. A car similar to this one sold on a Barrett Jackson auction for over $200K, yet it didn’t even compare to this one, in terms of the history, documentation, or un-restored condition that this car maintains. At one time, this car was owned by Mr. Gary Anderson of SoffSeal. In 1998, it was sold to a gentleman in Honolulu, Hawaii. That individual eventually sold the car to the current owner, who has owned it since 2005. This car is illustrated in the book titled “The 1969 Camaro Reference Book from A to Z”; by John R. Hooper. It is the garnet red Z/28 with endura bumpers, pictured inside the front cover. A copy of this book will be provided with the car. In addition to the picture on the front page, more illustrations of this Z are shown throughout the A to Z reference book. Here’s the list of pages where this car is referenced. -Page 14 the picture of the VIN tag is the one for this car. -Page 67 three of the four pictures shown are of this car. -Page 72 one of the four pictures shown is of this car. -Page 155 the window sticker at the lower right hand is a copy of this car’s original window sticker. -Page 247 picture of engine bay w/ 17,000 mile Z/28. Here are the items that will be included with the sale of the car. -The original exhaust pipes and mufflers. -The original Holley 4053 carb (which needs to be rebuilt) The original jack, base, tire wrench and spare tire/rim. -The original window sticker, from Konners Chevrolet Corp. -An original copy of “The 1969 Camaro Reference Book From A to Z”, by John R. Hooper. -An original issue of Hot Rod magazine, dated January 1988, showing this Z/28 on the front cover as well as a complete write up about this car titled “Pure and Simple” on pages 66-68. -A picture of Mr. Gary Anderson, shown holding the original window sticker. -An original issue of Super Chevy magazine, dated July 1991, with a write up of SoffSeal and Mr. Gary Anderson, with his collection of vintage muscle cars as well as this Z in the background. The article is on pages 58-61. Several items on the car were changed, including the exhaust pipes, mufflers, carburetor, and tires. The exhaust system was replaced with a chambered exhaust. The carburetor was replaced with a later version of the correct 4053. The tires are reproductions. This car arrived in Hawaii in 1998, and since then approximately 867 miles has been logged in, mostly from cars shows and cruise nights. To the true collector, this Z/28 is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime find, and will rival any un-restored, and even most restored Camaros’ that are out there. |

Wow a very nice original car. I do have a couple of observations, obvious fluffing on the underside, I don't see any inspection markings, and missing orig components. It will be interesting to see where this ends up. Nothing like original cars. Not sure ebay is the best venue to sell this car.

I wouldn't throw it out of my garage! Very cool Z.

Re: 1969 Z/28 Mint un-restored orig cond - only 17K mi
if one sold for 200k at barrett-jackson,and it wasnt as nice as the one youre consigned to sell, why not just take the plunge yourself, and sign up the car at the next barrett-jackson event??
sounds logical to me. |

Re: 1969 Z/28 Mint un-restored orig cond - only 17K mi
I think it is a nice car but to be fair to others that put cars on here for sale shouldn't this seller post the reserve or a buy it now price and not just the starting bid!

Re: 1969 Z/28 Mint un-restored orig cond - only 17K mi
It doesn't look like the car has a reserve, so $95K or best offer over the next 9 days looks like the price to me.

Re: 1969 Z/28 Mint un-restored orig cond - only 17K mi
Can someone please explain why folks selling things on Ebay like to use one gigantic paragraph to describe their car / item? It makes it nearly impossible to read all of the information.
If I took the time to write all of the details on a vehicle I would want potential buyers to easily be able to read all of it!! use more than one paragraph and use bullet points for lists of information. Oh, a hint on how to decifer the info. Cut and paste it into MSFT Word and make a couple of paragraphs..... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif |
Re: 1969 Z/28 Mint un-restored orig cond - only 17K mi
Will it be at the Kahala Mall show on Sat? I would like to get a better look at it. Last i knew Irvin owned it but I see it at Jasons in the pictures but Bob is selling it here. When will the COPO be for sale https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif

Re: 1969 Z/28 Mint un-restored orig cond - only 17K mi
And to top it off, if it had the R/S option, wow. But I still like it. Good luck.

Re: 1969 Z/28 Mint un-restored orig cond - only 17K mi
Hmmmm, I wonder what happened to the original alternator and/or pulley? I didn't read where it was missing or included. Or the smog system for that matter.

Re: 1969 Z/28 Mint un-restored orig cond - only 17K mi
Has car been sold ?
|
Re: 1969 Z/28 Mint un-restored orig cond - only 17K mi
Should be a R/S for that $$ amount.
|
Re: 1969 Z/28 Mint un-restored orig cond - only 17K mi
I think the 17K unrestored miles trumps the r/s option. Nice car and red too.

Re: 1969 Z/28 Mint un-restored orig cond - only 17K mi
The car has not been sold yet.

Re: 1969 Z/28 Mint un-restored orig cond - only 17K mi
