Re: Is it a COPO or a NOPO ?
Nothing against the car or seller as all could be genuine...just the guys wording would make me feel a bit leery?.
It's hard to know what's up when you see statements like 'I was told by the person I got the car from' stuff...nothing about what he believes or knows?. Also the way it reads Colvin could have owned it as a rusted genuine car and it's been rebodied later?. And if all is above board, why not lay the Vin and stampings out?. I expect someone here probably knows the car and situation?. Here's a good start to investigate further.. Re: Is it a COPO or a NOPO ?
I thought I read a thread recently on here about this car. Somebody saying they thought 195k for a car without paperwork was too much as they had passed on it at 135k. It had to be within the last week!

Re: Is it a COPO or a NOPO ?
FWIW- I talked to this guy. He "seemed" on the up. He has no problem with anyone serious having JerrM come and inspect it. And, if you are a bidder and serious, he'll provide the vins and stamp pics. Again, I don;t know him and only had one conversation. Like any high dollar car, get it inspected if you are serious.
As long as the engine is real and the original, and can be verified by someone like Jerry, then I would imagine it would be ok? I would think that is better than a car w/o a matching engine, but paperwork? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif |

I would think his vintage pics should hold some water....

Re: Is it a COPO or a NOPO ?
Yep, there is.........
Factory paperwork, Orig Engine AND original owner still alive! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif That being said, what's easier to fake, factory paperwork, or a restamped engine? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif |
Re: Is it a COPO or a NOPO ?
Does anyone know the vin number to this car?
|
Re: Is it a COPO or a NOPO ?
Nope. I never got it. Wonder if it really sold? Seller claimed that he was into the car for 195K.
