70 Chevelle I.D. stickers
need some help, can anyone tell me where to put the stickers on the auto trans lines and where to put them on the bottom of the front lower control arms.
thanks Donnie |
Re: 70 Chevelle I.D. stickers
The trans. cooler line labels are double sided,so wrap them even to themselves.
Position #775 about 20 & 1/2 inches from the top fitting that leads into the radiator. Position #776 about 10 & 1/2 inches from it's fitting, which would make them siamese to eachother. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...elines0005.jpg |

This is a shot of Chad's unrestored 13,000 Malibu and the placement of these is where I most commonly see them. The lower tube is normally mounted just aft of the radiator fitting. His is a Leeds car. I believe Annie's (also a Leed's car) unrestored LS-5 is also in the same place but I cannot find shots of the radiator tubes in my files.

That's where my upper one is. The lower one is about 4" forward of the nose of the starter. (Arlington car.)

Thanks Rick,
have you got a pic of the lower line tag to help this blind guy out? |
Re: 70 Chevelle I.D. stickers
I might be going over there this weekend and can get some shots for you then.

Donnie,
Attached are the photos of Annie's unrestored LS-5 trans lines. Since I took the original photos both tags have fallen off likely due to the bath it got. At any rate, you can see the remnents in both pictures where the originals were. Hope this helps. Rick picture 1 |
