Re: 70 Chevelle Commercial
It's hard to believe that I use to watch that show. When I think back on it now, F-Troop makes McHale's Navy and Gilligan's Island look like documentaries.
But I watched them all, along with "Batman." Man those were simpler times. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif |

Re: 70 Chevelle Commercial
I found this same commercial on it's original 16mm reel & box along with some other car commercials a few years ago.I fired up the projector and it plays & sounds really nice.
The graphics are clearer and the narrators baritone voice is epic 70's!..I believe he also narrated ABC's Movie of the Week. The car itself is incredibly true, crisp and cornered with a light sheen to the paint. Not at all like what you see at carshows today. It's details really stand out,and the camera angles are very well done. There is a lil more on the end of my commercial then the one on youtube. That's actor James Hampton, who also played "caretaker" in the 1974 movie "The Longest Yard"...Don't pull the light string! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif http://www.millerspecialties.com/ccp...y/jh04_100.gif |

Re: 70 Chevelle Commercial
Really cool clip but you guys are makin' me feel old and I'm really not...am I?.
Check out the replies of those who watched it too...couple of '70 owners...one LS6 guy!!!https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif. Eddie's father...I sure haven't thought about that show in a loooong time.. I loved Batman as a kid too and could never get enough of my favourite character the Riddler played by Frank Gorshin...that guy was a genuine nut!. Rick and others, be careful watching old film if you want to preserve it as w/ some old film materials, the bulb washes the color out so it's best to copy or transfer it the very first time it's viewed then watch the copy...I learned the hard way.. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif ~ Pete |
